Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines will be giving away family 4-packs of tickets to
Disney on Ice Passport to Adventure coming up at the Xcel Energy Center December 13-15. To be eligible for the drawing, girls must be current registered Girl Scouts for the 2013-2014 year, and sign-up for any council event or trip listed in our Program Events and Activities Guide. Does not apply to girls already registered for events/trips, and excludes programs on the go. Registration forms must be received by November 22, 2013. Drawing will take place on 11/25, winners will be notified via email.

GLUTEN FREE
We announced in July that our council will be partnering with ABC Bakers in a pilot of a Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookie. At that time we asked troops to commit to case orders for this opportunity. The response was great. However, we are hearing from some folks who missed out on the initial announcement and we want everyone to know about this exciting news!
In late September the council placed its order for our only order of Gluten Free cookies - that's right, we will not be able to get more once they are gone. Good news, we ordered a few extra cases (beyond what troops have agreed to sell) which means we have a few cases for your troop, if you are interested and meet the criteria.
How can your troop participate? That's easy, send an email to Jess Hoffmann at [email protected]. We'll get some basic information, see if you meet the criteria, and then we'll let you know. The Gluten Free cookies will arrive with our traditional cookies in early February at your community delivery site. Cookie sales begin on February 8, 2014. Due to the increased cost of this product we are retailing the Gluten Free cookies at $5.00/package (all of the other eight varieties will remain at $4.00/package). Troops will earn $5.00 in Cookie Dough for each case, and $.75 per package in proceeds. As this is a pilot program, girls will not earn recognitions for this pilot cookie.

Girl Scouts in Action
Girl Scouts in ACTION is another a great option for girls who may not be able to commit to a full troop year or where there are no troop openings in her community. She can continue her Girl Scout experience when the series is over by attending other Girl Scout programs and events as well as attending camp. Girls who are currently involved in a troop can participate in a series, too!

Training Date scheduled for
December 7, 2013. This day will be divided up into the Cookie Sale training and other training sessions offered for ALL Girl Scout volunteers.
