"Spring comes grudgingly to the Northern Plains".  A few years ago I began a Trail Talk with this line and it's just as true this year. But the grass is finally greening on the prairie, and we're looking forward to hitting the trail again.  Hope you can join us this year on the adventure of a lifetime!

Many of you who have followed the Lewis & Clark Trail with us or explored Legendary North Dakota no doubt remember Loren Yellowbird, the winner of this year's Heritage Award for a Front-line Tourism Employee at last month's North Dakota Tourism Conference in Bismarck.  Loren has been a National Park Service ranger and Arikara historian at Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site since 2000.   He works daily with the public to interpret the history of the trading post, at which his ancestors traded goods more than a century ago.

What began as a conservation project to prevent the extinction of the pre-historic mammals in their care, is today Custer State Park's signature event.  Make plans now to join in the fun, plus visit iconic Black Hills sights including Mount Rushmore, historic Deadwood, 1880 Train, Crazy Horse and Badlands National Park.

Feel free to contact us with any questions at 800-888-8306.

We look forward to seeing you on the trail this season.
