CEO's Corner 
Congratulations to the 2016-2017 Leadership Fort Dodge graduating class! The graduation ceremony will be held at Best Western Starlite Village Inn & Suites on May 16th with guest speaker, Michelle Raymer, from Volunteer Iowa and Iowa Economic Development Authority.  During the nine month Leadership Fort Dodge class, participants spent one day per month exploring different aspects of the community.  Highlights included touring several of the area's manufacturing companies, learning about various quality of life amenities and touring the State Capitol and hearing from local legislators.

Saturday May 13: A Free Moms and Kids Martial Arts Class on Saturday May 13th from 10am-11am. Moms and their child will work as a team and learn some fun partner drills to practice at home as a family! FUN, LOW KEY and a great BONDING experience and earn a PINK BELT!

The spring rummage & bake sale for missions at First United Methodist Church, 1st Ave. North and 10th St., Fort Dodge, will be May 12-13.  Anyone may bring items to the church between  May 1 and May 10.  The 5100 square feet in our church basement will be filled with various items, including furniture, linens, toys, kitchen appliances and household goods, clothes, and much more.
We are going to have a "sneak peek" sale on Thursday, May 11 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  For a donation of 2 food items for Lord's Cupboard or $2, anyone may come Thursday evening and purchase items before the regular sale day on Friday.   
Friday, May 12 from 8-4:30 will be our regular sale day, and Saturday, May 13 from 8-12 will be $2.00 per bag day and half-price on large items.

Golf Savers Card
Now is the time to get out and enjoy some golf. Take a tour of some great golf courses in Central Iowa without breaking your budget. The 2017 Golf Savers Card has a value of $249 and gets you into 10 courses across Central Iowa for only $99. The deal card is valid for 18 holes of golf at each course. Cart fees are not included and you must call ahead for available tee times. Card expires October 31, 2017 and is not valid for tournaments.

Plant Some Shade - Order Today
MidAmerican Energy Company customers in Iowa are eligible to purchase trees for $30 each, with the remaining cost funded through a grant from MidAmerican Energy. Advanced purchase is required and is limited to two trees per household to ensure that all customers have the opportunity to participate. In the event that additional trees are available on distribution day they will be released for purchase at 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis until all are sold. Trees must be picked up Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, 1415 Nelson Avenue, Fort Dodge, IA. Any trees not picked up by 6 p.m. on distribution day will be considered donations to Webster County Conservation. Trees are nonrefundable. Exchanges will not be accepted and plant material is under no warranty and/or guarantee.
