Iris Festival
Vendors at the 22nd Annual Iris Festival May 21-22 were very happy with the crowds, despite a rainy day on Saturday. When Sunday dawned with beautiful East Tennessee weather, the streets filled to overflowing with visitors - probably the largest crowd in the history of the event. Even the "Sundown on Depot" Car Show on Saturday had a good showing for its first Iris Festival event, registering numerous classics for public viewing. Many thanks to our sponsors: Parker Hannifin, Radio Greeneville, The Greeneville Sun, News Channel 11, First Tennessee Bank, Takoma Regional Hospital, Consumer Credit Union, Greeneville Astros and McInturff, Milligan & Brooks. Our sincere appreciation also goes out to the many businesses, committees and individuals that assisted in making the festival a success.
