Greetings from the
Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County
County-Wide
Basketball Leagues Underway!
Our 1st & 2nd grade basketball league has started! Multiple schools in the Washington County area are participating this year including Holy Angels, St. Francis Cabrini, Kewaskum, McLane, Fair Park, Jackson, and Holy Trinity. There are a total of 9 teams, all of which play games every Saturday at the Club. The teams have practices once a week where they learn the basics of basketball. The kids really enjoy playing and are having a great time getting to know the game as well as their teammates.

Dear Friend of the Club,

As an organization we hit the ground running in 2015. Our average daily attendance for the first part of January was up about 70 kids per day across the county. Our 1st and 2nd grade basketball leagues have began, with almost 80 kids participating! They have competed in two games already and are having a great time. As the West Bend building project continues, the kids are getting more and more excited to utilize the new space.

Thank you for your support,

Luke Sankey
Operations Director

Featured Club: Jackson
Club Hosts a Blood Drive

Last month our Jackson Club partnered with the American Red Cross to learn about donating blood while also hosting their very own blood drive. The SWAT teen leadership group volunteered at the event and helped with snacks and registration. The younger members were given the opportunity to not only watch their friends and others give blood, but also learned about the process of blood donation and why it is so important.

West Bend Building Update
Getting Closer

Our West Bend Club is really starting to come together. Most of the drywall is hung and the mudding and taping is in the finishing stages. The crew is also running cable for security cameras, a speaker system, and a new phone system.

We are also starting to upgrade our Games Room; we have recently received new carpet ball games and a poly pong game. The kids are really enjoying them!

Thanks again for all of the continued support!

Sincerely,

Jay Fisher
