Dear UpToUs Members,
We are happy to announce the launch of group email addresses on UpToUs and would like to thank the groups who Beta tested it.
- Group members can now forward emails with attachments to their group directly from their standard email software (outlook, Gmail, etc...).
- Group members can send emails to the group as well as reply to the group without logging in.
The group email address feature was requested by many community leaders and members. However, the feature may increase the amount of emails within the community. Therefore, the community administrator should decide whether to enable the group email feature or not. |
| The details |
|
Feature details:
- The system accepts emails only from signed group members.
- All emails are saved in the message section on UpToUs.
- Replies are saved under the same thread as the original message.
- Attachments are saved under a default folder and sent as a link within the message body.
- Inline images are converted to attachments and sent as a link within the message body.
- Replies cannot include attachments.
Administrators:
- Enabling and selecting your group email address is done within the community administrative area (under "edit mode").
- Even when the feature is disabled, it is still available for administrators. If you are an administrator, you can disable the feature but assign an email address for the group. This will allows only administrators to send emails and attachments to the group.
