1. Thursday postcard party - please take five minutes to write
your legislators to preserve critical federal funding
for Guana Preserve. Details below.

2. Saturday morning - Beach clean-up at all three
GTM beaches! Your help is needed.

Greetings!

It's a busy week for our favorite National Estuarine Research Reserve.
We can't take it for granted. Pitch in and help! Please share too.

POSTCARD PARTY: We have a short time left to let our legislators know Guana Reserve needs funding!  Please take a few minutes to stop by for a Postcard-writing Party (details below) this Thursday March 22 from 4-7 PM at 1178 Neck Rd. to remind our legislators to vote to continue federal funding.  The National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS), including GTM Research Reserve, has been tagged by the administration for budget elimination again, and we'd like our senators and our congressman know we need to keep the NERRS funded.  So, we need your help!

Stop by on  Thursday, March 22, 2018, anytime between 4 and 7 PM , at 1178 Neck Road to write a few postcards to our legislators so they know the GTM Reserve is important to you and the community. Meet our new student volunteers who will provide postcards, stamps, addresses, and even a few snacks. You bring your passion for the GTM Reserve and perhaps a few friends and family to write postcards, too.

If you can't make it Thursday but would like to write postcards, please reply to this email and let us know how many people wish to write them.

BEACH CLEAN-UP THIS SATURDAY, 9 AM TIL NOON:

Help us keep the GTM Research Reserve beaches beautiful! Meet up with us at 9:00 am, Saturday, March 24th, at the GTM Environmental Education Center. Gloves, bags and buckets will be provided.
Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. If you have any questions, give GTM a call at (904) 823-4500 or visit their website at  www.gtmnerr.org Address: 5 05 Guana River Rd., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

Hope to see you Thursday and Saturday!!! Bring friends!
