Balls... on the Walls
The new Anthony Gallo Acoustics Nucleus Micro and A' Diva SE's ($239 - $359 depending on size and finish) can be wall mounted and virtually disappear from site. Also they can be table or floor-stand mounted. Or (for those that rather hear them they see them) in-ceiling mounted. Because they are about the closest thing on the planet to a True Point Source they can sonically disappear and fill most rooms with surprisingly detailed and transparent sound. The A' Diva SE when mounted on a wall produces bass down to 80Hz... pretty amazing for a speaker the size of a Sunkist Navel Orange. And if that's not ''Ballsy'' enough for you, just add one of the several Gallo Subwoofers and you are ready to rumble. Their new TR-1D Sub shakes the walls in our almost completed ''Lifestyle'' room and that's Gallo's smallest and least expensive Subwoofer. Back in the mid-90s, Gallo pretty much wrote the book on small ''lifestyle'' speakers when reviewers referred to the Nucleus Micro speaker systems as ''Bose Killers''. The Nucleus Satellite speakers have now evolved into the SE series and have resolution and high frequency response that rivals conventional multi-driver speakers with crossovers. Gallo can give you great sound without using ''grunge'' inducing crossovers. The result is a speaker system with tremendous clarity and there is no need to run your amp/receiver ''Balls to the Wall'' to hear all the information contained in your music and movies.
