Please join us for the 2017 Winter Board Meeting and Legislative Rally at the Capitol on February 21, 2017. This is the perfect opportunity for talking with local legislators and learning the issues important to them that might affect home building. In return, legislators are able to learn from individuals in the building industry. Please call your legislator ahead of time and set an appointment to meet. Legislative issues will be provided closer to the day of the event.

EXCITEMENT BUILDS FOR 2017 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

Monday January 9, 2017 marked Day One of the 2017 Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly. HBAG's Government Affairs Committee is led this year by Bobby Cleveland of Macon, GA and will be ramping up its activities accordingly. GAC will meet weekly to review proposed legislation and take action as necessary to influence the legislature in support of the residential construction industry. HBAG also has several legislative initiatives this year to improve the regulatory environment for our members. LEWIS CENKER SCHOLARSHIP FUND DONATES TO NAHB KSU STUDENT CHAPTER

HBAG EVP Kelly Lass delivered $5,000 to support the   NAHB Kennesaw State University Student Chapter  on behalf of the   Lewis Cenker Scholarship Fund  while attending   The International Builders' Show (IBS)  in Orlando last week. T he KSU NAHB Student Chapter Competition Team placed 1st in the 2017  NAHB  Residential Construction Management Competition for Four-Year Programs. The Chapter was also named the 2017 NAHB Outstanding Student Chapter, for the second year in a row! Way to go   NAHB KSU Chapter! We are proud of your hard work and dedication to the home building industry.
