First National Bank of Durango increased their HBASC sponsorship this year as they believe it is an important partnership for everyone involved and most important our community. Each year the bank identifies the nonprofits and charities that have a significant impact on its employees, customers and community. Organizations chosen often relate in some way to the values mission and vision of the bank.

President and CEO, Mark Daigle receives many requests from around the county for funds and volunteers to help with various events. Daigle states "we truly enjoy being actively engaged in supporting our community with our time and financial resources. It is part of what being a community bank is all about."

The bank also allows its staff to fill roles on nonprofit boards, serve in advisory capacities, and volunteer services for special events. The staff is enthusiastic about their service to nonprofits. They gain invaluable professional development, strengthen contacts through networking, and secure an understanding of our market and its needs.
