You Can Help Local Families in Need Prepare for Success?

Despite the fact that Howard County, Maryland is one of the richest counties in the nation, over 10,000 (almost 1 in 5) of our public school students must rely on the Free & Reduced Meal program for nutritious food their families cannot afford.

More than 500 of these students are categorized as homeless.

For the significant number of families who struggle daily to keep up with high food, fuel and shelter costs, buying expensive, required school supplies is a major challenge.

You can help by donating supplies or making a contribution through the Prepare for Success website. Now through August 17, you can visit Kahler Hall and donate these supplies:

  • backpacks
  • 3-hole lined paper
  • highlighters
  • colored pencils
  • marble composition books
  • pocket folders
  • plastic pencil boxes
  • 2" 3-ring binders
  • glue sticks
  • #2 pencils
  • 1 subject spiral notebooks

Covenant Corner
Does Your House Have Curb Appeal?

One of our primary responsibilities is to uphold the village covenants and keep our Village looking good. Our covenants set minimum standards for maintenance and help protect the aesthetics of our community.

We need you to do your part by assessing the exterior of your home for curb appeal:

  • Are you storing bulk items and debris out of view of the street and neighboring properties?
  • Are your landscape beds weeded and edged?
  • Do you sweep the debris from your curbs and street gutters regularly?

Let's all work to keep Harper's Choice looking its best!
