Today's Reading
Deuteronomy 21-26
These chapters are filled with all three types of laws - moral, civil, and ceremonial. What can we learn from the civil and ceremonial laws given to the ancient people of Israel, even if we are not bound to them today? What was the heart of these laws and what can we learn about what God desires of us today?
Last Sunday, Pastors Lisa and Samuel shared news with us about the next step in their ministry journey as they have accepted the call to be co-lead pastors at Kansas City New Hope Church of the Nazarene:

"We have been blessed to be associate pastors at Harrisonville Church for nearly seven years now. We showed up fresh out of seminary and you welcomed us and loved us. You helped us learn what it meant to be pastors and what it meant to journey together as pastor and congregation. Without any hesitation or qualifiers, we can see exactly how God was providing for us and our family when he brought us to Harrisonville.

We are grateful we will remain on the Kansas City District, and while we know much will change, it is a comfort to us in this difficult process of saying 'goodbye' that we might still run into many of you from time to time. June 24th will be our last Sunday here at Harrisonville. We anticipate being able to have conversations, share many hugs, and enjoy our remaining time together. But you can be sure that when the time does come to go, we will deeply miss you all."
