Design Update
The design of the collection system for Phase I is near its completion. Our
design team, Atkins Engineering, has completed about 80% of the design of Phase I of the collection system.  The District is also working on a Geographical Information System that will soon be available on both District websites at www.hdwd.com  and www.protectgroundwater.org. The Geographical Information System will allow property owners to review property and project information while having the opportunity to communicate with project administrators.

Outreach Update
There are many ways to stay updated on information about the Wastewater Reclamation Project. "Wastewater Made Clear" is an article that is printed in the local newspaper every first Saturday of the month. February's edition of "Wastewater Made Clear" will discuss "Alternative Wastewater Treatment Systems." Protectgroundwater.org is a website that allows 24-hour access to information about the project. In addition, the District is scheduling meetings to present detailed information about the Wastewater Reclamation Project.

To schedule a presentation or if you have any questions about the Wastewater Reclamation Project, contact Jennifer Poland at (760) 228-6267.

District Employees Donate Toys
Spreading Christmas Cheer
Hi-Desert Water District (HDWD) adheres to the value of giving back to help build our local community. All HDWD employees purchase raffle tickets at their annual holiday party, and the money that is collected is donated to a local charity. This year, HDWD employees (36 employees) raised $690 to purchase toys for a charitable organization that distributed the toys to local children on Christmas day.

This is the 11th consecutive year that HDWD employees make a donation towards a local charity during the holiday season.
