Prime Destination for US Investment

Senior government officials led by Secretary of Finance Cesar Purisima, Secretary of Trade Gregory Domingo and Secretary of Public Works Rogelio Singson and a delegation of high level private sector leaders showcased the Philippines' dynamic economy during their US roadshow June 24-29.

The cabinet secretaries welcomed US businesses to the Philippine and broader ASEAN markets at a June 24 conference at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC, co-sponsored by the US-Philippines Society and the Philippine Embassy.

The Philippines, now one of highest performers in the ASEAN region, credits reforms in governance and highly-skilled human resources as key drivers for economic growth and development.

The country's robust economy offers lucrative investment opportunities for US businesses in key sectors including infrastructure, power, information technology, business process management, and energy.
