Scripture Readings
Amos 6:1a, 4-7
Warnings to those who are comfortable or wealthy
Psalm 146
The Lord gives justice to those who are oppressed. (Ps. 146:7)
1 Timothy 6:6-19
Eager to be rich or eager to pursue richness of God's justice?
Luke 16:19-31
Story of poor Lazarus and the wealthy man

Consideration of and care for those in need (especially those "at our gate," visible to us, of whom we are aware) is an essential component of good stewardship. It is in the sharing of wealth that we avoid the snare of wealth. It is the one whom death could not hold-who comes to us risen from the dead-who can free us from the death grip of greed.

~The Past 25 Years
In 1992, Mike Fowler completed a 100 year history of Hutto Lutheran Church, thanks is great part to the many and varied voices who shared their personal stories and talents.  Now we need your help telling the story of our last 25 years together.  Please share stories, events, pictures, memories, celebrations, or anything that comes to mind as we remember the last number of years.  Please share those things through written notes, typed notes, emails, or photo-copied pages by place them in the blue box in the Narthex.  There will be dozens upon dozens of stories that will be shared and we will do our best to capture as many as we can in our history section of the upcoming church directory reprint.

~Youth in Action Board
This board is filling up with amazing pictures of our youth doing all the things God has called them to do in school, extracurricular activities, and with family.  Please, please, continue to send us photos or bring some of your own to post.  Let us, together, celebrate what God is up to in their lives with you!

~Remembering Our Goals
As we look to the summer time ahead and all the joys of potential time away to relax and rejuvenate, please hold in your prayers and thoughts our congregational goals.  We reclaimed, at our January 2016 congregational meeting, the goals of 100 participating people in worship and meeting our giving financial number each Sunday.  In all honesty and transparency, we have fallen behind.  As you enter worship ask yourself two questions, "Am I able to give to the mission of our congregation this week?"  and then, as you leave, prayerfully ask,  "Who did I not see in worship today?"  If we can embrace and seek answers to these two questions, weekly, we will reach and surpass the goals we have set.
