Scripture Readings

Isaiah 55:1-5
Eat and drink that which truly satisfies

Psalm 145:8-9, 14-21
You open wide your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
(Ps. 145:16)

Romans 9:1-5
The glory of God's people Israel

Matthew 14:13-21
Christ feeding five thousand

In today's first reading God invites all who are hungry or thirsty to receive food and drink without cost. Jesus feeds the hungry multitude and reveals the abundance of God. At the eucharistic table we remember all who are hungry or poor in our world today. As we share the bread of life, we are sent forth to give ourselves away as bread for the hungry.

~
Financial Giving and the Budget
In order for us to continue the vital ministries of our church, the ministries that feed individuals and families, the ministries that educate and prepare individuals for life, the ministries that walk with veterans as they return home, and the ministries that wrap loved ones in quilts, we need our giving to be at or beyond that need.  It requires $4,347 every week to keep up with the needs of our ministries.  Since the beginning of the year, we have made that mark 5 times.  Please, prayerfully discern your personal or family giving.  Help us reach our goals and continue to be a vital part of the Hutto community.

~125th Anniversary Cookbooks
Our new cookbooks are here and available for purchase!  They are $10 each and can be picked-up after worship on Sunday or any day of the week, Monday through Thursday, 9am-1pm in the church office.
