1.  Student Ministry Christmas Parties
Christmas Parties...Student Ministry Style!
Merry Christmas to all 6th-12th graders!  
Join us on December 6th from 5:00-8:00pm. 

We're hosting a progressive dinner to celebrate Christmas with our students this year!  Sign up online by TOMORROW, Thursday, Dec. 3rd using the link below to participate! We also would love for anyone in the congregation to help us host or serve for our evening.  If you would like to volunteer to serve as a host home for appetizers or main course (for a group of approx 12 students), volunteer driver, dessert donations, or servers to make this night a success.

2. Military Support Group Meeting

The Military Support Group (MSG) assists local veterans and their families, promotes activities honoring patriotic holidays, and fosters support for the US Armed Forces within HMUMC. The Combined Children's Choirs of HMUMC, ages 3 through 5th grade, have a special evening planned for you and your family. Come hear the children sing beautiful new and traditional Christmas music that is sure to warm your heart!  Then immediately following the program, join us in the Rooftop for "The Plum Pudding Party," a festive time of fellowship for all that will certainly kick off your holiday season with joy!

"The Word Became Flesh" Christmas Cantata
Sunday, December 13 at 9:30am & 11:00am 

Come enjoy the wondrous story of the Savior's birth as told through glorious choral and orchestral music, and meaningful scriptural narration. This live worship experience, presented by the Cantata Choir, Orchestra and our Pastors, brings to life the greatest story ever told! This is the PERFECT time to invite your friends and family. For those who prefer our early service, a festive pre-Christmas worship service with live music will be held in the Rooftop at 8:15am.

6. Holiday Giving!

Purchase a Christmas dinner for our families who depend on the Food Pantry. Your donation of $35.00 will purchase a complete meal with a turkey and all of the trimmings.   

Helping Our Own at Christmas

Our Secret Servant Christmas Ministry is dedicated to helping families in need during the Holidays. To make a donation to this ministry, please visit www.hmumc.org/holidaygiving or place a check in the offering plate on Sunday morning with "secret servant" in the memo line. 

Salvation Army Angel Tree 
Be a blessing, adopt an angel!

The Christmas Angel Tree Program provides new toys and clothing to children who otherwise would not have gifts to open during the holidays. Simply pick up a bag in the Narthex that contains a tag with the name, age, clothing size and toy requests of an underprivileged child this holiday season. This year's tree also includes 25 economically disadvantaged senior adults. Please return the tag and unwrapped gifts to the front office by December 6.

Operation Toy Soldier
 
Our family ministries December mission project is Operation Toy Soldier. We will be collecting unwrapped new toys for the children of soldiers who are deployed overseas or actively serving in domestic or foreign land. Collection bins will be located by the Rooftop until December 20.  

7. The Middle and Ignite December Schedule
Student Ministry in December

Student Ministry Wednesday night and Sunday night programming will continue through December 13. All students 6th - 8th grade are welcome to join us anytime on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. We will meet in The Shed for fellowship and worship and then break out into our small groups. All students 9th - 12th grade, please join us on Sunday nights in The Shed at 5:30pm for dinner, fellowship, worship and small groups.

Men, reserve your space now for the 2016 Men's Retreat at the Georgia Baptist Convention Center in Toccoa, Georgia. Special Guest, Pastor Phil Wilson, will lead us on an unforgettable weekend centered around our theme, "Fear Not." The price is $160.

9. Upward Sports
U pward Basketball and Cheerleading Registration is No w Open

Upward is a fun way for Pre-K (4 year olds) through 6th grade boys and girls to learn more about God while focusing on fundamental skills. The season starts January 12 and ends with an awards celebration on March 19. The early registration cost is $150. 10.  Guatemala Mission Trip
Student Guatemala Mission Trip

The student ministry of HMUMC has committed to 3 years of service in Guatemala through Impacto Ministry. The mission of Impacto is to bring salvation, hope, healing, and peace of Christ to the Spanish-speaking world. Those in grades 9-12 are invited to join us from April 1 to April 8 as we are working near the Western Highlands in cities surrounding Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.  We'll have monthly meetings as we prepare as a team for our week in Guatemala.
