2. Advent Study

Mondays at 10:00am starting Nov 30th.  

God sent Christ into the world as our Savior. That's what Christmas is all about. In turn, Christ sends us into the world. This Advent study will challenge you through stories, art, and Bible study to discover what it means to have Christ born anew in you this Christmas and what it means to be Christ's hands, feet, head, and heart in this world. A different Pastor will be leading this special 4 week Advent study. The cost is $10.

The HMUMC Cookbook is the perfect hostess gift for Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas gift. The cost is only $20 and all proceeds go to the Growing Together Building Fund, so go ahead and order one for each of your loved ones today! Purchase your copy online using the link below or visit our table on Sunday morning after services and at Wednesday Night Supper. Books ordered online will be available for pick up on the following Sunday or during Wednesday Night Supper starting October 21.


4. Pantry Fundraiser at the Buford Corn Maze

Visit the Buford Corn Maze on Sunday, November 8 and The Pantry will get $2.00 from every ticket sold IF the person brings a can of corn!  At the end of the day, they will count the number of cans, give us $2.00 for each can brought, plus we get to keep the canned corn donations for The Pantry!

5. Women's Christmas Dinners

Thursday, December 3 & Friday, December 4

Start off the Christmas season by enjoying a night out with your girlfriends! This annual women's event is a great opportunity to gather together for a wonderful night of fellowship, joy and laughter with musician, speaker and entertainer Jake Gulledge. The doors will open at 6:30pm with dinner served at 7:00pm. The cost is $25 per person. We will have plenty of open tables this year. Host and decorate a table or just come and meet a few new friends. Please register online using the link below.

6. Holiday Dinners for The Pantry

Purchase Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners for our families who depend on the Food Pantry. Your donation of $35.00 will purchase a complete meal with a turkey and all of the trimmings.   

7. Upward Sports
U pward Basketball and Cheerleading Registration is No w Open

Upward is a fun way for Pre-K (4 year olds) through 6th grade boys and girls to learn more about God while focusing on fundamental skills. The season starts January 12 and ends with an awards celebration on March 19. The early registration cost is $150. 9.  Guatemala Mission Trip
Student Guatemala Mission Trip

The student ministry of HMUMC has committed to 3 years of service in Guatemala through Impacto Ministry. The mission of Impacto is to bring salvation, hope, healing, and peace of Christ to the Spanish-speaking world. Those in grades 9-12 are invited to join us from April 1 to April 8 as we are working near the Western Highlands in cities surrounding Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.  We'll have monthly meetings as we prepare as a team for our week in Guatemala. Registration is open from Nov 8 to Nov14 for current 12th grade students.

Give your children the opportunity to explore their God-given gifts and talents among friends, and through fun and spiritually uplifting music. 
Wednesday Night Supper - 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Join your church family for a great night of fellowship and a home cooked meal prepared by our talented Kitchen Angels. 

Tonight's Meal:
The menu is Lasagna with salad bar and garlic toast. The kids' menu is the same.

The 5th Grade Praise Team

Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 7:45pm 
     
The Praise Team is an amazing and fun leadership opportunity for all rising 5th graders. This high-energy team leads worship and serves as important role models for the younger grades. Practice on Wednesdays will include 30 minutes of devotional/leadership training and 45 minutes of intense worship fun! Team roles include on stage, backstage and audio visual assistants. 5th graders will be scheduled on a rotational basis to lead worship on the Rooftop during the 9:30am and 11:00am worship hours on Sunday mornings.

Parents, you can relax and truly enjoy your Wednesday Night - CONNECT time knowing that downstairs your children are having a blast! Kids will love our new program What's in the Bible, an interactive series with video, music, activities and an awesome take home sheet.

* If you are going to be in an adult Bible study that runs until 7:45pm, your children will go to Popcorn and Movie or to the playground at 7:30pm.
