April 2016 Editorial

Women are the givers of life.
We carry the womb of creation. As such we have the power of the Divine Feminine to awaken social justice through sacred heart activism and deep ecology. Our collective consciousness can shift our culture to a place of respectful reverence for our Earth Mother and all life.

"Sacred Activism is the fusion of the mystic's passion for God with the activists passion for justice, creating a third fire, which is the burning sacred heart that longs to help, preserve and nurture every living thing." Andrew Harvey

Since ancient times, women have been coming together in circle, to learn, grow and transform together. In many communities in our modern world, we've lost touch with this sacred ritual and ceremony to connect in community. It is time again to ignite and unify our sisters in circle.

On  April 22, Earth Day, 1000's of women around the country will gather in circle to connect, uplift and transform together. It is a special day to celebrate and honor our sacred Mother Earth.

Join our  Seaside Sister's fire circle for sacred ceremony, ritual, meditation, chanting and drumming. Together, we will be igniting the Divine Feminine in Sisterhood, to reawaken our reverence for our Earth Mother.

Dress warm and comfortable and bring a blanket if need be as we will be outside in the garden. Bring a drum if you have one and want to join us for drumming.

"This Changes Everything"
Hosted by: Kalli Holmes Sorensen

Directed by Avi Lewis, and inspired by Naomi Klein's international non-fiction bestseller This Changes Everything presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana's Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond.

Interwoven with these stories of struggle is Klein's narration, connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Throughout the film, Klein builds to her most controversial and exciting idea: that we can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better.  Filmed in nine countries and five continents, This Changes Everything is an epic attempt to re-imagine the vast challenge of climate change.

This is not a film that tries to scare the audience into action: i t aims to empower. This Changes Everything is about the power of people working together in community, and that message is most powerful when people watch it together.

Provocative, compelling, and accessible to even the most climate-fatigued viewers, This Changes Everything will leave you refreshed and inspired, reflecting on the ties between
