Thanks for making 2014 our best year yet! On behalf of myself, the entire Bringing Hope Home staff and Board of Directors, we are excited to share with you our 2014 Year In Review. 2014 was an amazing year of growth, making a huge impact on over 610 families with cancer and raising over $1.25 million! None of this would be possible without your support, and for the that we are truly grateful.

Meet Caitlin Mahon

Development Coordinator

Caitlin manages our Students Bringing HOPE
Program, which works to create school partnerships and increase volunteer opportunities for students locally. She has a passion for service and is excited to engage students in this meaningful work! 

  

Meet Ed Christie 
Director of Operations

Ed's non profit experience makes him a perfect addition to our team. Ed focuses on making sure we're using donations received in amazing ways, and has been instrumental in helping us make financial strides.

Judy is the newest member of the BHH team. In her role Judy serves as the liaison between families, supporters and social workers to make sure our families have the best experience possible!

2014 Awards & Recognition

 

  • We were awarded 2014 Non Profit of the Year by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce 
  • We were a 2014 Philly DoGooder Community Impact Award Winner
  • BHH's CEO & Co-Founder Paul Isenberg won the Heroes Among Us Award from the Philadelphia 76ers

Through our grant programs, we were able to pay essential household bills to keep local families with cancer in their homes, with the utilities on, phones working and food on the table! 



Adopt-A-Family (AAF) Holiday Program Highlights

Through our AAF Holiday Program, donors are paired with a local family with cancer who is in need over the holiday. Our donors volunteer their time, energy and dollars to provide gifts, gift cards and monetary assistance to local families with cancer who are struggling to make ends meet. 

This year over 185 families received over $115,000 in gifts and gift cards this holiday. In addition, over $150,000 was raised to pay for bills for families who truly need it. Read More...

Backpacks for HOPE Program provided school supplies to over 70 local families with cancer

 

Through the Backpacks for HOPE Program, presented by Teva Pharmaceuticals & Office Depot, 200 backpacks were filled with school supplies and delivered to 71 families battling cancer, being treated in 15 local hospitals in PA, NJ and DE. Read More... 



Over $365,000 was raised at 13th Annual Great Guys Dinner
Our largest fundraising event of the year included a cocktail hour, silent & live auction, Family Honoree presentation, keynote speaker Rollie Massimino, Philly 6 Coaches, and a special guest appearance by Phil Martelli and his animated grandson "Mini Martelli". The positive energy radiated throug the room of a record-breaking 500 guests! Read More...

This year, we partnered with Nordstrom of King of Prussia for the 3rd Annual Ella Bella Fashion Show to present a high-energy event that featured BHH families and supporters as models. It was an incredible night to "Celebrate Life" and we can't wait for the 2015 event. Read More...

Students Bringing HOPE Program Highlights
Students from all over the Greater Philadelphia Area are joining the HOPE Squad to bring hope home to families with cancer by raising awareness & funds to help our incredible families. We offer a service-learning style of involvement so students can fully understand the impact they're making. With over 30 local schools involved, students are spreading amazingness through fundraisers such as: sports tournaments, 5K's, pasta dinners, shirt sales, bake sales, and more!
