District Science Fair Results

STEM education is important to use. So important that it is in our mission statement. By exposing students to science, technology, engineering and math we are opening their minds to endless careers and prospects. Our students worked hard all year to prepare projects for the science fairs and other showcases. We entered 15 students into the district science fair this past Saturday. Below are the results:

Superior: Yahya and Asantewa

Excellent: Idil, Ehab, Fatima, Roja, Kwabena, Elysa, Martevion, Ilhaan, Nickolas, Hussein, and Amina

Congrats to all our students for their hard work!!! Good luck on the next science fair April 17th!

Summer Enrichment Program

Great news!! We will be having a Summer Enrichment Program from June 11-29. It will be a 3-week-long day camp where students receive instruction on the various weekly themes designed to extend student's subject knowledge, leadership and learning experiences, and develop the skills needed for academic success!

Students entering 6th-9th grades for the 2018-2019 school year may apply for the Summer Enrichment Program. Applications will be available in the office or from Mrs. Seeley for interested students. Space is limited and applications are due by May 4th, 2018.

We hope to see you then and remember that spots are first come first serve!

Visit to the State House

This Tuesday our robotics team was given a tour of the Ohio Statehouse and were also able to visit the Statehouse Museum where they learned about the Statehouse building and U.S. and Ohio history. After meeting with legislative aides, we were able to meet with State Representative David Leland. Mr. Serif and the Robotics team were given a Proclamation Letter from State Representative David Leland signed by the Ohio House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger. Our students had an amazing time speaking with our host about their love of robotics and their recent success in regional and state competitions.

Special thanks to the Ohio Statehouse and State Representative David Leland! Check out his post here!
