"We are determined to make it to the World Championship this year and win!" - Cameron Lamb, Co-Captain
The Kinetic-ORE Robotics Team 6450 has been hard at work preparing for this year's FIRST Tech Challenge. Recently, the team participated in a scrimmage against HSA Dayton and HSA Cleveland. During the scrimmage, our robotics students performed at the top of their game, out-engineering the competition. Additionally, the Kinetic-ORE robotics team hosted a bake-sale fundraiser in which they raised nearly $200 towards the construction of their robot. "Our students loved the hands-on experience. They were so happy to learn about our world." - Ms. Snoddy, Kindergarten teacher
The kindergartners recently visited the Country Lane Tree Farm in Genoa, Ohio. While there, our little Jaguar Cubs took part in real-world, hands-on learning experiences, including milking a cow and feeding chickens and rabbits. After feeding the farm animals, students learned where honey comes from by safely observing bees in the Bee Hut.  Students also rode a wagon around the grounds and picked out their very own pumpkins. "I want to thank all of the players and fans for making this the best Jag Football season ever!" - Mr. Meyer, Head Coach
The Jaguar Football team ended its season on the highest note to date, breaking school records left and right. In their last game of the season against the Patriots of Open Door Christian, the Jaguars came to the game with their Jaguar teeth exposed. With our Jag Family, Cheer Team, and players all rooting them on, our players scored the most points in a single game while freshman Tyrell Farris gained the most rushing yards. Luesha Brown is a senior at HSAT. She loves the education and all of the athletic opportunities here at our school, especially volleyball, in which she was quite a leader for our underclassmen. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, eating, and working. With the year nearly half over, she laments, "I'm going to miss my Jag Fam."

Ms. Tamika is a stellar Educational Aide for our students. In addition to being a member of our staff, she has two students enrolled at HSAT. She says, "I love that Horizon is a college preparatory school that is dedicated to success for all students." While not at school, she enjoys reading novels such as mystery and suspense.
Mr. Terry is one of our awesome Intervention Specialists. While at work, he notes the remarkable and positive atmosphere of our school. He comments, "I love helping our students achieve their goals." He is a self-proclaimed movie-buff and enjoys Anime and spending evenings and weekends with his wonderful wife.
Sevyn Taylor is a kindergartner at our fantastic school. His favorite part of school so far is learning numbers. "My favorite number is 10!" he proclaims with pride. In addition to learning numbers, Sevyn likes watching Teen Titans  because it's so action packed. One day, he hopes to be a superhero like Robin.
