FuzeHub Helping Companies Grow

New Initiative Proving Successful in Bringing
Solutions to Manufacturing Companies

Governor Cuomo announced FuzeHub, a new

statewide initiative to grow manufacturing companies

officially launched in November, is proving

successful in bringing solutions to businesses,

including two companies from the Capital Region. As

a collaboration and resource platform working with

the New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership

    program (MEP), universities, NYS economic

    development organizations, and state programs,

    FuzeHub helps connect manufacturing companies

with the solutions they need to overcome challenges

    to growth.

Two companies recently found success thanks to the

collaborative efforts of the new initiative. Rensselaer-

based ThermoAura Inc. and Wilton-based Tech Valley

Technologies both came to FuzeHub with specific

needs and challenges they faced in their manufacturing

businesses. FuzeHub engaged MEP Centers Hudson

Valley Technology Development Center and Center for

Economic Growth for aid in the development of a multi-

phase plan to assist with the design of the new plant

and the sourcing of equipment required to meet

demand for its products.  Read More

IS TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS
There's a new advantage to doing business in New York. A big one.

START-UP NY

Governor Cuomo's groundbreaking initiative is creating tax-free zones across the state for new and expanding businesses. Now businesses can operate 100% tax-free for 10 years -- no business, corporate, state, or local taxes, sales and property taxes, or franchise fees.

Three Key Manufacturing Trends in a Pivotal Year

KAREN LELLOCKFEBRUARY 6, 2014
The champagne's been corked.  The ball dropped and
2013 is behind us.  As we move into a new year, it's a
good time to take stock of last year and look on the
horizon for what's ahead.  I want to focus on what's
   really important: U.S. manufacturing.

It's shaping up to be an exciting year for American
manufacturers so far. We hit some great momentum in
2013 and we anticipate an even better year in 2014. So
much goes under the "umbrella of manufacturing" that
it's impossible to capture everything that's going on at
once. However, there are three dominant themes that
comprise what's trending with U.S. manufacturing:

        1. Industry Growth

        2. Increased Focus on Business Growth

        3. Shifting Public Perception in our Favor
