February 2018, Strengthening Fairfield County
Greetings!

This week, you may receive dozens of emails and social media postings from local non-profits urging you to contribute through GIVING DAY – coming up on March 1 st. This is a great opportunity to make a difference and “give where you live” brought to all of us by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation and Bank of America.

There is an aspect of Giving Day that encourages non-profits to compete for prizes based on the number of donors, the total contributions and funds they are each able to acquire. Though I would love to encourage you to give to Habitat CFC, at the end of the day, we all win, regardless of which organizations you chose to support.

We are blessed to be in a region that boasts incredible, volunteer driven, non-profit organizations staffed by talented and dedicated professionals. Collectively, our non-profits address every aspect of our lives from the most basic human needs, concerns about the environment, to supporting our professional aspirations and our passions for culture. If you want to fully appreciate the expression, ‘it takes a village” go to the Fairfield County Gives website and scroll through the amazing array of wonderful organizations.

Habitat for Humanity is driven by the conviction that every person needs and deserves a stable, decent place to live. But the houses we build and the lives they support are only as strong as the community in which they exist. Each of us can make Fairfield County even stronger on GIVING DAY!

Regards,
Stuart D. Adelberg
Chief Executive Officer
