Habitat Cabarrus Tiny House
Tiny House 2 Kicks Off During LOVE Week!
Elevation Church
Elevation Church (Concord), the premier sponsor for this build, joined our future Tiny House homeowner Lucy as they marked the beginning of both Love Week and the Tiny House 2 project by raising the first wall of the home on Saturday, July 9th. Love Week is the church's week-long, service-oriented event.

Lucy experienced the loss of her home during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and first moved to Cabarrus County with only two suitcases. We are very excited to partner with her to build the home she has wanted for over a decade!

Women Build Dedication
Women Build Dedication - July 25th
In less than one week, Julie and her five granddaughters will have a place to call home. We're very excited to be able present this family with the keys to their new home for which Julie has worked so hard. She has put in hundreds of sweat equity hours alongside the women in our community. Join us on Monday, July 25th at 6:00pm for this celebration!

We are expecting a large crowd so please arrive early to have time to park and get to the dedication. Carpooling to attend our event would really help us!

New ReStore Truck for Pickups!
We Have Some Great New Tools to Help Receive Your Donations at the ReStore!
Donations drive the success of our ReStore, so it is critical that we be able to pick up items quickly and handle them efficiently when we receive requests. In the past, when someone dropped off a donation for the ReStore on a pallet, it had to be unloaded manually or a forklift had to be rented in order to unload the product from their truck.

To expedite that process and accept more donations, we have been able to purchase that same forklift from R.S. Braswell Company that we had been renting!
Habitat Welcomes New Board President and New Board Members
Habitat for Humanity of Cabarrus County would like to welcome our new Board President, Doug Stafford (pictured left). We would also like to thank our outgoing Board President, Pam Cain (pictured middle). Executive Director Dave Zablotny (pictured right) presented her with a small token of appreciation.
