April 2018
Dear Habitat Friend,

What a month it has been! You helped us to complete three more critical home repairs as well as begin demo work at the School Street duplex, celebrate at our successful Dueling Pianos fundraiser, and help us move up the street to a new office (note the new address below). A huge thank you to South Acton Congregational for leading our move, Ed and Dick from the Stow LPC for building a ramp for the Kwans, the many youth who came to help during YOUth Build last week, and the fantastic crews who helped in Ashburnham, Fitchburg and Acton. You know what it means to build community!

We have a fun few weeks coming up too! On Thursday, April 26th at 9 a.m., Senator Eldridge and Acton officials will be at our official kickoff for our Acton build. We'll be 'breaking ground' and giving tours of our new site as we head in to a building phase at the site. On May 9th from 7:30-8:30 we'll be celebrating 30 years of building homes, community and hope at our annual Spring Breakfast. We'll hear from the amazing people who started our affiliate, learn about the history of the School Street home, celebrate key volunteers, and hear about families whose lives have been changed through their Habitat homes. A big thank you to Avidia Bank and Enterprise Bank for being early sponsors for this event, and please sign up below to join us! And then in early May, Women Build Week begins and we'll have the mighty women of north central MA joining us as we continue demolition and start building walls. Thank you to Lowe's for sponsoring Women Build Week nationwide!

Our plate is truly full in April and May, and thanks to so many of you for your willingness to volunteer, raise funds for building, and show in so many ways that you care about your neighbors.

In partnership,

Carolyn

A Visit to the ReStore
The ReStore is our discount home improvement center. We accept donations of new and gently used items from individuals and local businesses, and sell to the public at a reduced cost, usually 50-70% of the original retail value. All profits support home ownership for hard working, low income families in North Central Massachusetts, while keeping good, reusable materials in use and out of the landfill.
Open Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-5pm.
