March/April 2018
Dear Habitat Friend,

Happy Spring! It seemed like it would never get here, and the weather still isn't quite cooperating, but I know this season brings better weather for building so I'm happy it's finally here.

Thank you to everyone who came to the dedication and blessing of the Yang's house at 50 Henry Street. We had a wonderful group there to welcome the family to their new home and thank you to Mayor DiNatale, Representative Hay, John Reichley from Amica Insurance, Bill Foss and Jeff Gordon from EXIT Realty, the crew from Shriver Job Corp, Liz Murphy from the City of Fitchburg, Pastor Conlon from Faith United Parish, and so many others for joining us for this special day. Shoua, Tao and their children are thrilled to have a new safe, accessible and energy efficient home and so thankful for the hard work by their friends and neighbors on this home.

We're excited to be starting work on our next project on School Street in Acton! We have completed the asbestos abatement and will begin demolition with the help of Team Rubicon this weekend. We have many volunteer days to fill at this project site as well as two critical home repair projects in Ashburnham and Fitchburg so please join us when you are able.

I also hope you can join us for our Dueling Pianos event on April 6th. This is a really fun evening and you'll be helping us to raise funds for all our upcoming building projects. A huge thank you to DCU, LCU, Mitrano Waste Removal, Phoenix Park and Village Mortgage for signing on as sponsors for this event.

With hope for spring and in gratitude for your support,

Carolyn

A Visit to the ReStore
The ReStore is our discount home improvement center. We accept donations of new and gently used items from individuals and local businesses, and sell to the public at a reduced cost, usually 50-70% of the original retail value. All profits support home ownership for hard working, low income families in North Central Massachusetts, while keeping good, reusable materials in use and out of the landfill.
Open Wednesday through Saturday, 10am-5pm.
