from all your friends at Givat Haviva

Passover is a festival of liberty, a celebration of freedom for all, and this year especially, is a time to reflect on the sanctity of that freedom and the ways we can all work to ensure freedom and equality for all our neighbors, friends and family no matter their identity.
Givat Haviva works for this purpose all year, every year - to create a shared and equal society in which no person or nation is subject to oppression in prevention of their liberty. Our wish is to create a State of Israel in which this sentiment is honored, in which there is equality and liberty for all, regardless of sex, race, religion or nationality.
Join us to make shared society a living, thriving reality on the ground in Israel by investing in Givat Haviva's superior shared society programming today. Today is about equality, democracy, shared society and a new vision of the future. It’s about transforming our frustrations with the current situation in Israel into concrete visions for the future and bold plans for action. It’s about coming together, learning, making new friends and meeting new partners. It’s about becoming part of an exciting, essential and historic movement at a crucial moment in our history.

May your Pesach overflow with happiness,
May you always be blessed with peace,
prosperity and togetherness.

Celebrating the Successes of our Annual Shared Society Conference on March 30th
|
|
Givat Haviva's fifth Annual Shared Society Conference was a highly informative, inspiring and memorable day on our beautiful campus a few weeks ago. The day was packed full of rousing speeches, exciting cultural performances, thought-provoking panels, and the opportunity to meet and connect with amazing people from all over the world who are working for an equal and shared society in Israel.
The focus of this year's Conference was to present our
Roadmap for a Shared Society, a project made possible by the European Union with the goal of engaging 70 Jewish and Arab experts representing a broad spectrum of Israeli society to create a practical policy paper for the promotion of a shared society in Israel. The Conference served as a platform for the presentation of over 100 Recommendations in five distinct fields: Governance, Culture, Education, Economic Development and Land Use.
We also opened up the next phase of the program during the Conference - public engagement. This process involves a series of public town hall meetings, online engagement through Ynet, Israel's largest and most popular news and content website, and Bokra, Israel's leading Arabic online news source. The purpose of this outreach is to not only raise awareness of the recommendations and increase public support, but also to generate public feedback which will help formulate priorities within the recommendations.
