Haitian Christmas Ornaments that change lives...

Your purchase will help bring clean water, food, housing and education to the poor in Haiti, as well as new beds to families in need right here in our community.

Taking the simple idea of a Christmas ornament to bring hope to places of poverty. The heart of the Christmas message is hope. The opportunity is here now... to create jobs in places of extreme poverty by having local artisans create unique, hand crafted ornaments with the resources available in their community. The ornaments are purchased at fair trade prices and then brought to the US to be sold through a variety of retail and web stores.

Christmas 2013 will mark the first selling season of Vineworks. We have sourced almost 10,000 ornaments from Haiti and are on sale now. The benefit is already being seen in Haiti a country devastated by the massive earthquake, but also devastated by unemployment / underemployment at around 70%. The first project alone although it was a short run of 10,000 pieces helped produce the equivalent of  employing over 50 people for more than a year at a wage above the average Haitian wage.
