Rolling Out the Welcome Wagon

Kirstyn Marie Photography

You can welcome your guests with beautiful signs throughout your wedding space! Start with a few at your ceremony site to showcase your bridal party or give your guests a little direction. If you want an "unplugged" ceremony, a sign is a great way to let your guests know! You can also use signs to let your guests know that they can sit wherever they prefer or which direction they can find different parts of the event. Martha Stewart Weddings has a great article with ideas for signs for your big day, including some really fun neon signs.

If you don't have neat handwriting, hire a professional to make your signs for you! You can have them printed on beautiful paper and framed or have a calligrapher scroll your messages on wood, chalkboard, or even antique windows!

Reimagining the Guest Book

We absolutely love how couples are choosing to forego the traditional guestbook and coming up with incredibly unique ideas for their guests to show their love for the couple. Fun ideas like this piece of wood engraved with a lover's heart tree becomes a piece of art for the couple's home instead of just a book on a shelf.

Brides.com has some really interesting ideas for alternative guest books, including guests signing a vintage record!

Unique Seating Charts

An organized seating chart is key for the flow of your ceremony to your reception. When all your guests are moving from one space to the next, it's important that they have clear direction of where they need to go so there isn't a backup or confusion. But a seating chart can also be incredibly beautiful and incorporate the theme! This lovely window pane was used as a seating chart with nautical touches to incorporate the couple's seaside event.

Wedding Corner Invitations

Wedding Corner Invitations is one of our preferred vendors for custom wedding stationary. Debbie at WCI creates incredibly detailed, elegant, custom wedding signs and invitations and is a staple in the Hampton Roads wedding industry. Her work is truly remarkable and she always incorporates the couple's vision so perfectly. You may think that a company that specializes in creating invitations does just that, but so many can also create your seating chart or other signs for around your space.
Real Weddings

All of the signs at this amazing English Garden Inspired wedding were elegant and fun. The seating chart was all done in perfect calligraphy and was so large so that multiple guests could see it at the same time- and it made a statement! The couple also had a beautiful quote displayed at their ceremony space:

And they also had fun signs throughout their reception to invite their guests to try different food and drinks:
