Palestinian civil society has called for 3 days of demonstrations at US embassies worldwide.
On Saturday, stand in solidarity with Palestine to protest Donald Trump's unilateral decision to relocate the US Embassy to Al-Quds/Jerusalem which amounts to defacto recognition it as the capital of Israel, contrary to numerous UN Security Council resolutions and international law.
We come together in solidarity with the Palestinian people and demand that the Canadian Government condemns this move by Trump and keeps the Canadian Embassy in Tel Aviv.
70 years in the making, this ill-inspired move to relocate the US Embassy to Jerusalem has escalated a conflict that has already cost countless Palestinian lives. It exposes decades of false peace process and is another iteration of the colonial project which seeks to sow sectarianism in the region to justify future imperialist wars.
Declaring Al-Quds/Jerusalem the capital of the Israeli colonial state is both a symbolic and material slap in the face to Palestinians, the indigenous people of the land. It is imperative that the international community reject US aggression on Palestine.
We stand in solidarity with people worldwide suffering the horrors of Trump's fascist regime and we especially stand with the people of Palestine, in Gaza, West Bank and in Al-Quds/Jerusalem and those in exile. We oppose not just American aggression but all Western colonial wars and occupations.
