Community Concert The Shoals Community Concert Band and the Swinging River Jazz Band will present a combined concert at First Presbyterian Church, Florence, at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 12th, 2015. The bands are under the direction of Mr. James Ed Champion and Dr. Phil Bonds. The concert will feature marches and patriot arrangements as well as jazz and swing music and a tuba solo by Zack Riley. From the Cumberland to the Gulf: Tennessee Troops Traversing the Alabama Country
  During the War of 1812, Tennessee troops were involved in operations from the Cumberland River to the Gulf of Mexico.
