June 30, 2017
Hi all,
In the photo, please observe the Appleton Summer Organizer team working hard to recruit new members, identify issues and leaders, and mobilize for events. Those are the goals of the Summer Organizer Project (SOP). If you are an employee of the Appleton School District, don't be surprised if you get a call from one of these folks, asking for some time to chat. Please offer up some time for them - the results will be amazing!

Appleton EA members: Brett Miller, Alisa Reinke, Jake Larsh, and Jane Rufe

The WEAC Region 3 office will be closed July 3-5. Look for our next newsletter on Friday, July 14th.

Peace,

What's YOUR Best Story?

I'm a member because . . .

"When I was a new teacher in the early 70's, Hortonville happened. Teachers went on strike to bring attention to the plight of public education employees. Since then, members have fought hard to bring dignity to public education and its employees. Then Act 10 happened. We have come full circle. It's more important now than ever to fight for the rights of public education, workers and for its students. Collectively we did it once and together we can do it again."
