Support the WorldChicago Online Auction! The auction will run from August 1 to September 15, 2013, with proceeds going to WorldChicago in order to support citizen diplomacy programs in Chicago. Auction items include overnight stays in some of Chicago's finest hotels, restaurant and theater packages, jewelry, sports memorabilia, language classes, autographed copies of books and more. All items are guaranteed to intrigue and entice. So, tell your friends, family, and community. Let the bidding begin!
This auction will close just in time for our Fall Cultural Fundraiser, "Mystical Macedonia." International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)
This U.S. Department of State program identifies and selects emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields to visit 3-5 cities in the U.S. over a three-week period. Visitors meet their professional counterparts, explore thematic interest areas, and experience American professional and cultural life firsthand. These visitors stay in hotels.

WorldChicago will host a public forum for ten delegates from the Kazakhstan coming to Chicago on the Open World program through the Library of Congress. Kazakhstan borders Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Krygyzstan, and China, and is the ninth largest country in the world. Kazakhstan has a population of 16.6 million, representing 131 ethnicities including Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, German, Uzbek, Tatar, and Uyghur. It was the last of the Soviet republics to declare independence following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.
All delegates have extensive professional experience in the healthcare industry in Kazakhstan. At this forum, delegates will discuss their culture and highlight topics such as the state of healthcare practices and innovations in Kazakhstan.
