Happy Father's Day 6/18/17
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL!!!
Hebrews 11:4 (KJV)
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
I AWOKE (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN ON 6/18/17!) and opened my computer.
Amanda had a semi-rough night and I had slept fitfully.
The first thing I saw was a post on FB from my oldest son:
"
Happy fathers day dad. Thanks for giving me life then never giving up on me no matter what I did. Your were always there for us. I love you so much. And I can't wait to eat this Boston butt. Mmmmmmmm"
Oftentimes, in this life, we must choose our battles wisely, AND FORGIVE AND FORGET seemingly wrongs committed!
Did not Jesus command:
Matthew 7:3-5 (KJV)
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
I have known for several days what I would preach on today-usually holidays are the hardest sermons to write.
I have another son from "another mother" and although our skin does not match, our hearts are joined as one.
He refers to me often as his "Spiritual father."
His beloved "MADEAR" and as he patiently explained to me this morning:
"
MADEAR" is a term of ENDEARMENT that he and the family refer to their MOTHER, because she is the most DEAR to them!
His MADEAR is not long for this world and as we prepare for her HOMECOMING, I was reminded of his deceased father, better known as GEORGE P.
GEORGE P. imparted words of wisdom to his and mine son that I also took to heart.
His words to his son was to "always have your debts paid three months in advance!"
As I rode down the road a few days ago, I heard the Voice of God-OUR HEAVENLY FATHER (HAPPY FATHER DAY FATHER GOD!!!):

Although many of OUR fathers have long been departed, they and their words AND actions STILL speak to us from the grave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
1 Corinthians 4:15 (KJV)
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Most of us have been fortunate to have had "MANY FATHERS."
A FATHER does not have to be a biological father!!!
I have had THREE fathers in my life:
1)-HAROLD LANE DRUCKER-BIOLOGICAL FATHER
2)- CHIEF BOB WILLIAMS-SPIRITUAL FATHER
3)-BISHOP HARRY MUSHEGAN-SPIRITUAL MENTOR AND FATHER
Because of these men, I am what I am today.
Their lives IMPACTED my life and my thoughts, words and actions are a reflection of what I heard and seen in their lives.
All three of these GREAT men are long departed, BUT they still speak to me, as GEORGE P. does, from the grave!

A "LEGACY" is always MUCH more than money handed down!!
LEGACY- "anything handed down from the past, as from an ancestor or predecessor."

Today, if your dad or dad's are still among the living, make sure you honor them with your words or visits.
Dad's need not gifts, just your love and heartfelt appreciation for any and all you did and do.
