Ruach Dances at Etz Chayim
(New! Held Monthly)
Experience Insight and Joy through Simple Free-form Meditative Movement to Inspiring Music

Saturday, July 7, 6:30 - 9:00 pm
Saturday, August 11, 6:30 - 9:00 pm

Experience the Divine shefa (flow) within your whole being through free-form meditative movement/ecstatic dance, guided by kavannah (intention) that draws on Jewish texts and ideas. Our open floor provides a safe, non-judgmental/non-performance environment, free of conversation, allowing you to explore free-form meditative movement set to carefully-selected music. Start the new week connecting to that "still small voice" inside, getting more exercise in a fun way, and meeting new people!

Free and open to all (need not be an Etz Chayim member to participate). No dance experience needed (no required "dance steps"); if you can walk, move your arms, or simply breathe and "dance from your chair," you can enjoy our Ruach Dance. Set your own pace and boundaries: dance solely by yourself, or, with others if you choose. Please eat a light supper before, wear comfortable clothing that's easy to move in, and bring your water bottle. Optional: yoga mat and vegetarian snacks to share after

Questions?  Call Gail Slocum (415) 515-2892; Text Gail your email to get on Ruach Evite/reminders list
