Join Us @ Sundance!

After interviewing over 600 people; gathering over 6,500 images; and recording over 200 hours of video of ordinary Americans, from all backgrounds, sharing their family photographs, stories and connections with over 2,500 live audience members, DIGITAL DIASPORA FAMILY REUNION is launching its 2014 National Roadshow @ the Sundance Film Festival.

Highlights of user submitted photographs will be shown at the DDFR ROADSHOW special LIVE event! MONDAY, JANUARY 20, 6:00pm, Sundance/New Frontier @ The Gateway, 136 Heber Avenue, Park City.

Here's your chance to join this grass-roots movement of people seizing the moment and bringing their images and stories into the public realm as a validation of their personal family histories and experiences...even if you can't be in Park City.

Thank You!

With your support throughout this past year, our epic documentary film,
Through A Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People (TALD,) and innovative transmedia community engagement movement,DDFR, have achieved remarkable success!

TALD and DDFR will make their premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014. TALD will also make its West Coast Premiere at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles; followed by its New York Premiere as part of the Museum of Modern Art's Documentary Fortnight; as well as debut at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, all in the month of February.  We have been approached by film festivals from Melbourne to Montreal, from St. Louis to Tel Aviv, and everywhere in between. It's a great start to the upcoming New Year!

Not to be outdone, DDFR has been selected as one of 13 arts groups by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council to participate in the Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide (SPARC) Program. Look for us at the YH-YWHA of Washington Heights! And looking a little further south, DDFR is planning a special Roadshow for Washington DC early in the New Year. Check our website for details!
