MEDITATION: CAN IT HELP REDUCE YOUR PAIN?

The longer I practice medicine, the more clear I become about the health benefits of meditation. I wish I could require my patients to meditate, but all I can do is gently nudge, write articles and offer meditation programs.
To this end, beginning in January, Fran Callanan, a lawyer, former teacher, and a former Kaplan Center executive director, will begin leading a weekly, 1-hour meditation session at the Center. She'll introduce participants to various kinds of meditation and create a space for individuals to strengthen their own practice. I encourage you to check it out. Read more
