Jajja's Kids

Addressing the Needs of Ugandan Street Children...

And Giving Hope for Better Tomorrow!

Happy Holidays from Jajja's Kids!

As 2015 comes to a close, we are grateful for another wonderful year with Ronnie and Jajja's Kids.  Thanks to the ongoing love and support of so many, we've expanded again, and 17 boys now live together and attend school regularly.
We feel very blessed!

Wishing you and yours much happiness in the year ahead!

"Raise the Rent" Fundraiser a Success!

Seventy people gathered at Revolution Hall on November 5th for a lively party with great food and drink, and enjoying the theme of the "Roaring 20's".  We danced to  the lively music of the Nisky Dixie Cats, enjoyed photos of the boys and life in Uganda, and bid on interesting auction items.  Best of all, we reached our financial goal of paying the rent for the boys' home for 2016!  We also earned enough to cover the next few months of house expenses.  Thank you to all who came, and to those who were unable to come but donated anyway.  Your generosity has set a great foundation for the year ahead!

Mark successfully completed his Primary 7 final exams, and in February will start Secondary 1.  Mark is the first of our boys

Delaware Community School

The students and faculty at Delaware Community School in Albany continue to be a source of caring and compassion.  Under the guidance of second grade teacher Susan Fowler, the entire school recently had a "Jammies for Jajja's Kids" day where students, teachers and even the principal wore pajamas to school and donated money for for our boys.

We will see Susan Fowler and her class again in the spring when the  children in Albany talk and sing with our boys in Kampala via Skype!

Uganda 2016

Are you curious about life in Africa?  Would you like to spend time with Ronnie and the boys, share daily life with them and see what their school is like?  Would you like to go on safari and see zebra, giraffes and elephants in the wild?  Would you like to stretch your comfort level and have a life-changing experience in the process?

Plans are now beginning for our 2016 volunteer trip to Uganda.  We will go in May and be in Uganda two weeks, with a day travel each way.
Please contact us soon if you are interested--space is limited!
