Happy Holidays to all of you!

Hard to believe it's December already.  Summer seemed to drag on making us think we had lots of time to get ready for the busy winter months....and suddenly, here they are.

Everyone at the Open Studio is very excited about our latest double incubation project, The Emerging Artisan's Program.  TOS is supporting a new business venture for Kathryn Holt, the coordinator of the Emerging Artisan Program and she in turn is creating a venue for small entrepreneurs to showcase their new ventures.  Lots of winners for this program, so come and support this new Backyard Event.

We all love the local Farmer's Markets and Art Festivals, but one has to have a pretty sizable body of art work or product in order to avail themselves of those events for selling their wares.  We wanted to create a small intimate venue where new ventures could showcase their work on a much smaller scale.....one card table of their art if that's all they have, one food item to test out or one week's batch of herbal salve.

We wanted it to be low cost and no pressure.....but also fun.  So we've opened our gardens to a weekly event of food, demos and new artisans you won't find at the bigger markets....because this isn't a market, it's a Garden Party.   Join us on December 18th to try something new, see how things are made, listen to some open mic musicians who are also testing their talents, and find a unique Holiday gift.

If you are an Artisan with something you'd like to present at The Open Studio, please go to the website for information on how to participate in our new program.

Please put  December 18th  on your calendar and come hungry because Ania's Kitchen has created a special brunch menu for this event.  Don't miss it.  There is nothing else like it happening in town.   See you there.
