Happy May!!

Good day, Young Adults, and Happy Feast Day! Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker! What a fitting way to open the month of Mary! May the most chaste spouse of our Lady teach us to walk ever closely to Jesus most especially during times of trial. During this beautiful month of May, we celebrate many special ladies. But there's one extra special lady who takes front stage. May is the month of Mary! Join us any week this month and we'll probably mention this special Mom once or twice! Mary, Mother of the Word Incarnate, pray for us!

Yours in Christ,
Dorinamae

Meet @Cathedral

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!
Join us TOMORROW, May 2nd at 6:30pm, for our May Faith Topic. Our special guest speaker, David Bates, will be coming in to speak about "Mary in the Old Testament". Bring something to write with because this might be something you may want to take diligent notes on. Oh and we'll have dinner!
We'll be moving back to the Cathedral this month for Adoration. Please meet us there at 6:30pm. This month, Fr. Pedro will join us and will be available to hear confessions. Come as you are with all your dirt and grime, then leave a new grace-filled you!
There's a fifth Wednesday this month (May 30) which means we will be having our Planned Parenthood Rosary. In January, we walked the half mile to Planned Parenthood on First Ave, prayed a Rosary, then walked back. No confrontation. No chaotic arguments. Just united in prayer to end this mass killing of our unborn brothers and sisters in Christ. If you still have any reservation, please know that you can contact me. Also, the clinic is closed by the time we arrive. If you would rather pray in the peace of your own home, God hears those prayers, too! These most vulnerable among us need all the prayers they can get! Hope you will join us! Bring a friend or two or five.
HELP WANTED
Have you ever thought about serving at our Sunday 5:15pm Young Adult Mass? If so, we would love to train you and get you on the schedule! There is a special need for Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers but could also use some altar servers, musicians, and ushers! You don't have to already know what you're doing --we'll train you! If you have a desire to serve God and represent young adults at the Mass, contact Val! Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
Volunteers are needed to help bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound on Saturday mornings. You would not be going alone but with a group of two or more. We leave from the Cathedral right after the 9am Saturday Mass (~9:30). If you are interested and available even one or two Saturdays a month, come join us on a Saturday or contact Val-   val@sdcathedral.org  for more info.

What do YOU want to do?

Did you come to game night at St. Joe's this past Wednesday, April 25th? Was that a good time or what?? Thanks to some great suggestions by the team and by you all, we had a great time! Maybe next month's fellowship will be an idea you come up with! If you have any ideas for other fun activities the group can do together, shoot us an email and we'll make it our next fellowship meeting! Send all suggestions to Dorinamae at Dorinamae@sdcathedral.org. Thanks!
