Start the New Year by Doing a Good Deed!
The American Red Cross, with the support of KCDC and  Kamms Plaza, is hosting a blood drive on Friday, January 2, from 2 to 7 p.m. next to Peace, Love, & Little Donuts, 3786 Rocky River Drive.
Why not start the New Year doing a good deed? In appreciation for making time to give, donors will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt from the American Red Cross while supplies last and a free donut from Peace, Love, and Little Donuts! West Park Pizza Bake-Off to Raise Funds for St. Pat's Church
Who has the best pizza in West Park? Tasters will decide at the West Park Pizza Bake-Off Pre-Super Bowl Game Party on Monday, January 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the St. Pat's Church gym, 4427 Rocky River Drive. Tickets include "all you can eat" pizza and  a beverage. Prices vary by each taster's age: $10 for ages 12 and older, $5 for ages 6 to 11, and no charge for kids 5 and younger. There will be "Squares" for the Super Bowl with four winners to be notified after the big game -- and a raffle for a 50" LED HD TV. Tickets for the raffle are $5 for one or $20 for five. Both bake-off and raffle tickets will be available at the door or earlier from Jeff Quinn by calling 216-402-7621 or via e-mail at [email protected]. Are You Ready for the West Park Challenge?
It's time for the 8-week fitness challenge offered by West Park  Station, 17015 Lorain Avenue. Formerly the "six-pack challenge," this eighth annual "get into shape" challenge starts on January 19. It features new trainers and boot camp classes -- and over $3,000 in prizes, including $500 to each overall male and female winners.
The $125 entry fee includes the following:
- Three boot camp classes a week taught by Certified Trainers
- A two-month membership to the West Park YMCA
- Fitness classes by the YMCA for no charge: open gym, aquatic classes, basketball pick-up games, kick boxing, and more
- Discount at West Park Station on their Lighter Fare menu
- Nutrition tips

KCDC Renovates Home -- For Sale Soon!
 Working with the Cuyahoga County Land Bank, we are renovating a roomy two-story Dutch Colonial home located at 16805 Sedalia Avenue, just east of Rocky River Drive. It will be sold to a qualified buyer who intends to live in the house. The main floor features a spacious kitchen with new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, a full dining room, and a large living room.
