2015 was a wonderful year for HEAH! We celebrated our 30th anniversary, Dr. Behm rejoined the practice, and Dr. House's daughter got married. It was quite a busy year to say the least! In 2016 we are excited to continue to be a part of such a great community and keep your pets healthy and happy. Welcome to 2016! We hope it's a great year at HEAH and for our clients!
Senior Pet Awareness Month
We know that the sooner illness is detected, the better chance we have of recovery. Humans are advised to undergo routine testing such as mammograms, prostate exams, and routine physicals to  catch potential illnesses quickly.  Dogs and cats also need testing to make sure no illnesses are brewing inside them. Animals hide illness very well; in some cases until it is too late to treat them. Detecting disease early through routine screening testing such as blood work and x-rays, can help save lives. Senior pets especially (those over age 8) need regular screenings to detect and prevent disease.  
During the month of January we will be offering special pricing to help you take advantage of this testing for your senior pet. Learn more:
Lifetime Membership Award
Dr. Ho ently awarded a Lifetime Membership Award through the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association! This award represents 35 years of continuous membership in good standing! Congrats to Dr. House for being recognized
for his contribution to veterinary care in and around Chicago! 

Dr. House published in Decision Support in Medicine
Decision Support in Medicine is for practicing veterinarians, available online. It is a quick and concise reference book on current diagnosis and therapies in feline medicine. Dr. House was asked to write five chapters pertaining to cardiac disease. Way to go Dr. House!!
