Happy New Year from GWP Rescue, Inc!

The New Year is a time of new beginnings, New Years Resolutions, and taking personal inventory. The dogs in our care are looking forward to their new lives, and finding that special someone.

The GWP Rescue, Inc team worked hard to physically save nearly 30 GWPs this year. And countless other owner relinquishes we have placed from the home.

I want to take this opportunity to "Thank" each and every team member! When the call comes out from a high kill shelter, we have usually 24-48 hours to act or the dog will be euthanized. This is a very stressful time, but when I put out the call to our volunteers from all over the Midwest and other parts of the country,  it is amazing to me the response and dedication these volunteers show to our beloved breed. Most of our volunteers are former adopters, and we value each and every one of you!

We have Martha pictured above. She has been with us a very long time, and we are hoping to get her into a home for the New Year! Martha and Erin came to us this past summer and are GWP/GSP mix. Erin looked very much GWP, with the facial furnishings and coat. She was adopted by one of our former adopters and getting on very well in her new home with sister Ava. Martha has sparse facial furnishings, and resembles more of the shorthair side. Unfortunately, she has been passed over because of this.
She is on our website and Petfinder page so if you could Please help us crosspost her, she is a darling pup. She is about a year old now, and has done many events with ease as she loves it. She is loyal, trustworthy, and lots of fun! Extremely active!

We are pleased to announce our special former Mill girl Abby has been adopted! We found the perfect forever home and she is doing well. Abby touched all of our hearts, and continues to do so through her FaceBook page!

We now have Bramble from the SD mill with us, and he is doing better. He will be a real cuddler, and each day we see improvement. Emma, a performance bred VDD girl is coming along after a three week stay at the vet office for pneumonia. She is incredible, and I am in awe of her presence. Tootsie has an adoption pending, Emily also has an adoption pending, the former Flojo now named Ezra also may have an adoption pending so paws crossed OK?
