No St. Patrick's Day in NYC would be complete without seeing the parade, which makes its 255th march up Fifth Avenue. (The event is even older than the United States; it was started by a group of homesick Irish from the British army in 1762.) More than 2 million onlookers are expected to show up for the annual event which goes up 5th Ave from 44th St to 79th St.

NAVY PIER FERRIS WHEEL IS MOVING
The 150-foot tall Ferris wheel from Navy Pier is moving to Branson Missouri.
Navy Pier officials are replacing it with a bigger, 196-foot Ferris wheel to celebrate its 100th anniversary this summer. The Ferris wheel came down in September after 20 years.
The Ferris Wheel will have a new home at The Track Family Fun Parks in Branson to celebrate the parks' 35th anniversary.
