NOW HIRING - PART TIME RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ASSISTANT
Temple Sholom
The receptionist is responsible for the maintenance of membership records, administrative support to Rabbis' and senior staff and general office duties. The position must be able respond to the unpredictability of critical life cycle events, and requires tactful daily contact with members, lay leaders, community members, professional and other staff. The day to day duties include, phone and door reception, data entry, email correspondence and other letters, preparation & mailing of tribute cards and general mailings. Designing simple graphic for flyers, website and newsletters may also be required. Payment transactions, including on line payments and registrations, are also included in the responsibilities. Other tasks may include preparation of hospitality for meetings, gift shop support and other assignments as required. Scheduled work will be on Monday Tuesday Thursday and/or Fridays during office hours which are between 8:30am and 5:30pm.TO APPLY: Please send a resume and cover letter to [email protected]
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND
We are looking for 10 amazing Hillel BC volunteers to contribute to the local community. Choices is an outreach event that celebrates women and the choices that we make in our lives. The event provides an opportunity for women to be philanthropic in support of their local community. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Choices; the event will highlight the community projects, organizations and members that have been impacted by the generosity of this incredible event.
We have 3 main shift times on November 2nd with a variety of jobs within each shift:
Shift 1: 3:30 pm-10:00 pm
Shift 2: 9:30 am -12:30 pm
Shift 3: 12:00 pm-3:00 pm
NOTE: We also welcome volunteers who would like to work both Shifts 2 and 3 together (9:30-3:00) (Volunteers who are working Shift 1 are expected to stay until the end of the event to help with tear down. A "volunteer meal" will be served during this shift).
