Port: Even in an off year, business better than a decade ago
Port of Grays Harbor officials acknowledged that 2015 was a "tough year" for exports and they expect another small decline in 2016, but reminded guests at their annual business meeting Wednesday morning that because of what they've done to diversify the cargo base, even off years are a big improvement over business 10 years ago.    Read more »

Flood Authority approves funding for new North Shore Levee project 
A joint effort between Aberdeen and Hoquiam to build a dike that would protect both cities from flooding and reduce - or eliminate the need for some homeowners to have flood insurance - took a major step forward this week when the Chehalis Basin Flood Authority approved $988,000 for preliminary design work.  Read more »

Bank of America to close Aberdeen branch in May
Bank of America is closing its downtown Aberdeen branch on May 24.  Tellers at the branch, located at 101 E. Market St., have been informing customers of the closure, but management at the bank referred press inquiries to corporate media relations for any details.    Read more »
