Music for the Very Young!
Music for the Very Young is a chamber music series presented by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra specifically for children approximately 3-5-years old and their grown-ups. This program provides a fun and engaging cultural experience for the very young on their own terms while also enabling our young audience to engage in a quality musical experience designed with their cognitive development in mind.

All performances of Music for the Very Young are presented in the Event Room on the Balcony Level of the Woodruff Memorial Arts Building right above the main entrance to Symphony Hall.

In 2003, 30 years after they served together in the Vietnam War, former Navy Corps medic Larry "Doc" Shepherd (Steve Carell) re-unites with Former Marines Sal Nealon (Bryan Cranston) and Reverend Richard Mueller (Laurence Fishburne) on a different type of mission: to bury Doc's son, a young Marine killed in the Iraq War. Doc decides to forgo burial at Arlington Cemetery and, with the help of his old buddies, takes the casket on a bittersweet trip up the East Coast to his home in suburban New Hampshire. Along the way, Doc, Sal and Mueller reminisce and come to terms with shared memories of the war that continues to shape their lives.

Cyr Wheel artists perform the unprecedented feat of rolling and spinning under the rain, while an aerialist suspended from a Trapeze flies and twirls through pouring showers. Hoop Diving is taken onto gigantic treadmills, expanding exponentially the speed and amount of daring leaps executed. Jaw-dropping highlights include a Guinness World Record holder juggling seven pins at breakneck speeds, a male contortionist skillfully twisting his body in the world's most unimaginable positions, a powerful Aerial Straps specialist defying the laws of gravity at the center of cenote (natural sinkhole), and two football (soccer) freestylers deftly mixing street dance with mind-blowing ball manipulations.
