Liberty on the Border

Red bird Opens May 26

This incredible traveling exhibit allows you to explore the physical, cultural and ideological borders defined by the American Civil War. The exhibit covers three time periods: Liberty Denied, the events leading up to the War; Liberty's Trial, the War years, and Liberty's Legacy, how the Civil War has been and still is remembered. Family Friday

Family Friday Friday, May 4, 5:30 p.m.

Featuring The Lorax in 3D with pizza, a drink, the movie and Museum admission all for one low price! Sponsored by Little Caesars Pizza. Museum members $8, non-member adults $10 and non-member children $9, plus tax.

SuperMom Celebration

Sunday, May 13  (Mother's Day) 

All moms can enjoy the Museum and any show in the Theatre for free on March 13, with one paid admission per mom (hey kids - hint hint!). Sponsored by Obstetricians & Gynecologists P.C.

Dr. Seuss' The Lorax in 3D (rated PG)
A 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

May 18-20:
John Carter in 3D
(rated PG-13).
Transplanted to Mars, former military captain John Carter discovers a lush planet inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians.

Solar Observing

Saturday, May 19 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon 

View the Sun safely during this free event. Museum staff set up a telescope for safe solar viewing on the Museum's front patio and offer guidance and observing tips. Click here for details.

Planetarium: Earth, Moon & Sun
Earth, Moon & Sun daily thru June 5
Explore the relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun with the help of Coyote, a character adapted from Native American oral traditions.
