Are you a "believer" in the Intervale Center's mission to strengthen community food systems? Do you love classical music? Join us as renowned cellist Bejamin Elton Capps performs works by J.S. Bach, C.A. Piatti, E. Premo, and B. Britten. Click here for the full program.
Besides providing the opportunity to see world-class performers in nontraditional venues, Burlington Ensemble concerts help raise money for Vermont-based nonprofits and develop audiences for classical music! Art + Soul 2012: Benefiting the Intervale Center
Thursday, June 7
Location: Dunkiel Saunders law offices, Burlington
The Intervale Center has been selected to be the first beneficiary of an exciting new annual event in Burlington called Art + Soul. The event, hosted by Dunkiel Saunders, brings artists, musicians, nonprofits, and businesses together to celebrate and support the good work and creative spirit at the heart of our local community. Each year Art + Soul benefits a different local nonprofit and features art by local artists that is inspired by the nonprofit's mission. Proceeds from art sales are split between the artists and the nonprofit.
Call to Artists! The organizers are currently seeking submissions for creative pieces in any medium that are inspired by or connected to the Intervale Center's Mission. You don't need to be a professional artist to create and submit art work, and the artwork does not need to be newly created work, it just needs to be related to the Intervale Center's local agricultural mission. Submission deadline is May 21. Visit www.artandsoulvt.org for more details.
